Cynthia Oliver, although born in Mexico, is a Greenville, SC native. She attended Furman University where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Health and Spanish. During her time at Furman, she researched English/Spanish bilingualism in the Upstate of South Carolina.

Additionally, she completed an internship at Unity Health on Main, a community health clinic in Greenville where she further developed her love for public health. She also proudly served as one of Furman’s MOSAIC admissions ambassadors throughout her undergraduate career, where she discovered her passion for higher education.

Cynthia joined Converse University as an admissions counselor after she realized that it was the perfect place to combine her passion for public health, Spanish, and education. She is eager to guide students on their journey to make Converse their home. She hopes that her experience as a first-generation college graduate and Latina will provide students with the skills they need to succeed at Converse. When she’s not in the gym lifting weights, Cynthia enjoys crafting and the outdoors.
